01 Dec Jennifer D. Collins offers 2023 Projections to Trade Show Executive Magazine
Optimism reigns supreme among show organizers looking to 2023. JDC Events President & CEO Jennifer D. Collins, CMP, DES, offered her thoughts on what the new year has in store for the industry in the December issue of Trade Show Executive Magazine.
“I think the industry will need to prepare for more use of strong data to drive results and deliver more meaningful experiences,” she said. “It’s not enough to just build and deliver in the same way as in 2019. We will be expected to create more curated experiences that achieve profitable results.”
Collins also highlighted the rising popularity of regional shows, defying the bigger-is-better perspective that is so engrained in the events industry.
One challenge that may loom on the horizon is a recession, which could result in lower registration revenues, staffing challenges, and other belt-tightening restraints.
