A Fortune 100 company engaged JDC Events to create a high-level corporate retreat for an international group of 80 attendees, many of whom would be meeting in person for the first time. The program was designed to be “50 percent work and 50 percent fun”, bringing together business objectives with meaningful shared experiences.
The retreat focused on four key elements: Design, Team Building, Collaboration, and Relationship-Building, creating an environment that supported both productivity and connection.
Objective
Create a three-day corporate retreat that balanced structured work sessions with opportunities for connection and engagement, allowing attendees to collaborate effectively and build relationships within a well-organized experience.
Design
JDC Events designed a cohesive program that guided attendees through each stage of the retreat with clarity and ease. The team sourced the city, hotel, and venues, presenting accessible East Coast options and selecting the Intercontinental Buckhead in Atlanta for its ability to support both professional and social needs.
The program balanced structure and flexibility, ensuring seamless transitions between meetings, dinners, and activities while maintaining a consistent and elevated experience throughout.
Activation
Experiential elements were integrated to support collaboration and relationship-building. Attendees gathered at The Roof at Ponce City Market and The Painted Duck, where interactive environments encouraged connection. The program concluded with a guided tour of Atlanta aboard the Peachtree Trolley, providing a shared experience that combined local culture with conversation and engagement.
Impact
The retreat was recognized for its organization, smooth coordination, and professional delivery. The structured approach allowed attendees and stakeholders to move through the experience with ease, focusing on collaboration and relationship-building throughout the program.
By aligning design, team building, and experiential elements, JDC Events delivered a program that supported meaningful engagement in the moment and strengthened connections beyond the event.
