Emmes is a global clinical research organization supporting public health and biopharmaceutical innovation. With employees located around the world, the organization relies on frequent virtual meetings to share updates and maintain alignment across its teams.
JDC Events supports Emmes in producing these virtual company updates throughout the year. Each program is designed around three key elements: Design, Collaboration, and Relationship-Building, creating a consistent and engaging experience for a global audience.
Objective
Develop and execute virtual company meetings that clearly communicate business updates while fostering connection among employees across regions.
The program required a structured yet flexible approach to accommodate evolving content, short planning timelines, and a fully live format.
Design
The design of the virtual meetings focused on creating a reliable and repeatable framework that could support both consistency and adaptability. With agendas often finalized just weeks or even days in advance, the experience needed to be organized, efficient, and responsive.
JDC Events worked closely with the Emmes team to develop a run of show that provided a clear structure for each meeting, ensuring that all key topics were delivered in a logical and methodical way. This included establishing streamlined planning processes and clear lines of communication that allowed for rapid content development and approval.
The design approach emphasized clarity and timing, supporting a fully live format where precision and coordination were essential. Each meeting was structured to deliver important updates while maintaining a smooth and professional flow from start to finish.
Activation
Experiential elements were introduced to transform the meetings from informational updates into moments of connection for a globally distributed team.
In addition to standard agenda components such as leadership remarks and company updates, JDC Events developed an approach to highlight the diverse regions where Emmes employees are located. Employees from around the world recorded short videos introducing their regions, sharing local insights, and responding to guided prompts.
These videos were integrated throughout the program, creating moments that allowed attendees to learn more about their colleagues and the broader organization. The approach brought a personal and human element to the virtual format, encouraging engagement and reinforcing a sense of connection despite geographic distance.
Through this addition, the meetings created opportunities for collaboration and relationship-building, helping employees feel more connected to one another and to the organization as a whole.
Impact
The virtual meeting series has consistently delivered organized, well-executed programs that meet evolving business needs while maintaining a high level of engagement.
By streamlining processes and introducing thoughtful experiential elements, JDC Events has helped Emmes create a more connected and informed global workforce. The integration of employee-driven content has strengthened relationships across regions and enhanced the overall meeting experience.
