A global association’s yearly conference provides an opportunity for members to network and earn continuing education credits.
While historically the conference has been a four-day in-person event, this year’s event was condensed to two days and was fully virtual. JDC Events worked with the host’s team of event planners to structure the online event and select the appropriate platform, adapting their traditional in-person plans to a virtual setting. An event that normally takes six months to plan came together in less than 90 days.
In addition, JDC oversaw production of more than 60 continuing education sessions, which were recorded to be available on-demand after the event. This included working with speakers on in-office recording and making spot checks for editing. With up to eight sessions happening concurrently four times per day over the two-day conference, recording the sessions allowed participants to view sessions they were unable to attend during the event on their own schedules. The conference also featured lunch groups for micro-topics and networking. This conference had more than 1000 virtual attendees overall, twice the number the hosts had anticipated and far exceeding predicted expectations.
