17 Nov Jennifer D. Collins honored with American University’s Changemaker Award
JDC Events President and CEO Jennifer D. Collins, CMP, DES, received the American University Changemaker Award at the university’s President’s Circle Celebration on Nov. 10. Collins was one of three alumni named to the inaugural class of award winners.
The award recognizes President’s Circle members who are role models to students, collaborators for faculty and administration, and powerful examples of changemakers in society. Their loyalty, support, and expertise are crucial to ensuring that AU and its changemakers remain at the forefront of pressing issues by elevating the student experience, inspiring impactful research efforts, and leading community-driven initiatives.
University president Sylvia M. Burwell honored the award winners during an evening celebration at the Cyrus and Myrtle Katzen Arts Center.

Jennifer D. Collins is the founder, President, and CEO of JDC Events. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Digital Events Strategist (DES) and well known events industry thought leader. She is Vice Chair of the Board for WBEC Metro NY and WBEC Greater DMV, a member of the Women’s Presidents Organization (WPO), and the Author of Events Spark Change: A Guide to Designing Powerful and Engaging Events.
