13 Jul Job Opening: Community Manager (Contract, Part time, Remote)
JDC Events is looking for an innovative, creative, and self-driven Community Manager to join our team. This role will manage a community of community professionals with engaging and unique educational content, community outreach initiatives and public engagement programs (online and in-person). This position will report directly to the President & CEO. (DC area preferred. Future travel may be required)
What You’ll Do
- Design, plan and execute community outreach and engagement programs based on understanding of audience, business goals and metrics
- Analyze data to develop compelling and engaging content
- Develop a content marketing plan and editorial calendar
- Build and manage revenue generation plan through sponsorships, sales and other monetization • Collaborate with marketing communications team
- Source and secure subject matter experts
- Build relationships with key industry organizations
- Guide event operations
- Provide customer service to community members
- Develop and track progress of metrics and goals
- Manage direct reports as needed
What’s Needed
- Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role
- Experience planning and leading community initiatives with a B2B audience • Strategic thinker with ability to tell compelling stories to motivate and engage audience • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
- Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
- Hands on experience with social media management
- Ability to interpret website traffic
- Knowledge of online marketing
- Attention to detail and problem-solver
